چکیده
The hybrid precoding problem in point-to-point millimeter wave (mmWave) multiple input output (MIMO) for narrowband channel is established as a Frobenius norm minimization problem. It translated into trace problem, and two algorithms are proposed to solve it. In the first method based on alternating minimization, we alternately determine analog precoder digital precoder, keeping other constant minimize trace. subproblem with fixed converted semi-definite programming (SDP) solved by block coordinate descent (BCD) algorithm suitable modifications. second method, segregate subproblems considering orthogonality of precoder. further rephrased maximization an iterative power enforcing constraint adapted form modified Gramm-Schmidt orthogonalization procedure employed impose methods extended wideband orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). not only exhibit good performance but also come lower computational complexity when compared existing comparable performances.

Hybrid precoding can significantly reduce the number of required radio frequency (RF) chains and relieve the huge energy consumption in mmWave massive MIMO systems, thus attracting much interests from academic and industry. However, most existing hybrid precoding schemes are based on singular value decomposition (SVD). Due to the very different subchannel signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs) after SVD...

In this paper, we propose a geometric mean decomposition...

Large propagation path loss and limited scattering of millimeter wave (mmwave) channels create new challenges for physical layer signal processing. Hence, in this article, we propose a photonic hybrid precoding model for mmwave radio-over-fiber systems that overcomes hardware constraints on radio frequency precoding. With help of silicon photonic integrated circuits (Si-PICs), the photonic prec...

As a key enabling technology for 5G wireless, millimeter wave (mmWave) communication motivates the utilization of large-scale antenna arrays for achieving highly directional beamforming. However, the high cost and power consumption of RF chains stands in the way of adoption of the optimal fullydigital precoding in large-array systems. To reduce the number of RF chains while still maintaining th...
